I had the amazing opportunity this week to set up a styled shoot for 15 amazing photographers in northern Utah. Twice a month we get together and take turns planning and styling a shoot. It’s an opportunity for us to try new lenses, ask each other questions, learn from each other, and have a good time! I decided I would give them a little glimpse of what it’s like to be a horse photographer! Our location was the amazing Smith barn in Lewiston, UT. I styled three different shoots, all including horses, to go on at the same time. We broke into 3 smaller groups, and rotated through the different… Keep Reading
Shyann | Rodeo Senior Pictures
A girl and her horse. There’s not a bond that I love to photograph more. When Shyann contacted me about taking her senior pictures this spring, and wanted to include her horse in them as well, I was so excited! Her horse, Bud, is a big, sweet, sorrel gelding. He had the most curious look the whole time, and almost always had his ear forward. Even when we let him eat his ears were up ready for pictures! Shyann competes in barrel racing with Bud in the Idaho High School Rodeo Association. I love when senior incorporate what they love into pictures, so we of course did some rodeo senior pictures… Keep Reading
Favorites of 2016
As I am setting goals and gearing up for a busy 2017, I had to give a huge shoutout to all of my clients from 2016! Thank you for trusting me to capture your special memories. Thank you for supporting me in pursuing my dream! I’ve been looking back over each of my sessions in 2016 and feeling so incredibly blessed. I have the best clients who have overwhelmingly supported me. 2016 was my first “official” year in business. This was the year that I decided to dive in to my photography with all my heart. Many hours were spent online watching tutorials and learning how to use my camera to the… Keep Reading
Mendelkow Family | Cherry Creek
This was by far one of the coldest, but also one of the most fun shoots I’ve done! We had this day scheduled for about a month, knowing that we had to plan ahead to get everybody in town at the same time for family pictures! The weather was bitter cold, with a high of 20 degrees, and a lot cooler up the canyon! But we couldn’t resist the snow, so we headed up cherry creek and found some gorgeous spots to take pictures! I always love how snow pictures turn out, I just wish snow came with a little warmer weather! At the end they pulled out two of their… Keep Reading
Horse Winter Bridals | Brennan
I’m going to go ahead and apologize now for the picture overload. This session was sooooo magical and I couldn’t help but share almost every shot from these horse winter bridals!! Brennan and I have been wanting to shoot together for over a year, and never actually got anything set up. When we were both free the weekend after her wedding I knew I had to jump on the opportunity. There was only two days to plan this shoot! I contacted my favorite hair and makeup girl in town, Tiffany Johnson, and was so excited that she was able to squeeze us into her busy schedule! Finding a florist was a… Keep Reading
