I am so behind on blogging! But I couldn’t pass up my best of 2019 post, even if it’s two months into 2020. Enjoy!
Arbon Valley | Campbell Family
I had such fun opportunity to drive out to Arbon Valley to do family pictures for my sweet friend Katie! I haven’t seen Katie in years! We went to college together at USU, and have lots of fun memories from showing horses together on the USU Equestrian Team. She has the cutest little family now! Her two little boys are adorable, and were so much fun to take pictures of. Her little baby was the most patient baby, and never cried the entire hour and a half we took pictures! We started out by taking pictures of cute little Clara in her blessing dress. she was getting blessed the next… Keep Reading
Riata | Hyde Park Orchard
Little miss Riata is SO adorable!! We took these pictures a couple months ago, but she is turning 2 today so I figured today was the perfect day to post these! Little miss loves horses. Especially if you give her some grass to feed them or a brush to brush them. She is happiest on a horse, and looked absolutely adorable on Jello the pony with her pretty dress and flower crown. During this shoot, she had some pretty painful sores in her mouth. She was a trooper and let us get some pictures, but I guarantee there will be more coming of her in the future! This orchard in… Keep Reading
Foaling Season! | Equine Project 52: Ears
I am finding it is hard to get and shoot every single week! Especially when it’s not a jobs that i’m meeting a client for! But it is already pushing me to think outside the box. When I first took these pictures, I had no intent on using them for the weekly project. But as I got thinking more about them, I realized they fit in perfect. Horses communicate so much with their ears. As an equine photographer, I’m always looking for ears forward. But when I took these, not once did those mama ears come forward to focus on me or anything else going on. Her ears stayed like… Keep Reading
What’s in my bag
What’s in my bag? This is such a big topic! When I first got into photography I was overwhelmed with the amount of options there are! As I learned more and more and nailed down my specialty I found gear that would give me the results that I wanted. I’ve gone through a lot of different gear, and have found a nice line-up that works for me! When I first started photography I would see other’s pictures and have to know how they got that type of shot. I’ve learned that a lot of photography is about light, but it is also about knowing your gear! You don’t have to… Keep Reading
