Every year I love to look back on the past year and all the people I’ve met and sessions I’ve done. It’s been such a great year! We’ve had lots of ups and downs this year. Little McCoy joined our family. We lost one of the greatest horses – Copper. We did lots and lots of roping, showing, and riding. See my favorites pics from each session this year below! Let me know what your favorites are in the comments! Here are my best of 2018! Best of 2018 You can see the best of 2017 here!
National Day of the Horse
I am SO blessed to be able to take pictures of horses. I always have a hard time picking one picture for National Day of the Horse, so this year i decided to pick a picture from each horse session! Fairytale Horse and Carriage Temple Exit – Garrett + Maria
I love to shoot temple exits! I love the anticipation of friends and family waiting outside to see the bride and groom! A lot of the time if the bride and groom have me come to the temple to do exit pictures there isn’t a formal exit like you see at other weddings (bubbles, streamers, sparklers, etc). This fairytale horse and carriage temple exit was one of my favorites. They were able to come out of the temple and see all their family. We got all the family pictures done. And then the carriage showed up (as a suprise to them both!) and off they went to live happily ever… Keep Reading
Favorite Location – Green Canyon
I get asked all the time about locations for photo shoots. Living in Utah, there are SO many options. There is something for everyone. Water (river, lake, pond, you name it), mountains, pine trees, rustic, barns, wheat fields, hay fields. I could go on and on. But if I had to just pick one location out of everywhere, it would be my favorite location – Green Canyon. It is seriously the gold mine of locations. It doesn’t really matter what time of year it is, you can count on it looking amazing. It has green trees in the winter so you get some color in your pictures. It’s up a… Keep Reading
Cache County Event Center Wedding – Maria + Garrett
Maria and Garrett were the lucky ones to be the first wedding at the Cache County Event Center! It is so fitting, as they are both involved in agriculture, and Maria basically grew up living at the Cache County Fair every August. This brand new building was finished the beginning of August. It’s gorgeous, and can be used for so many different occasions! There were so many cute details. The first song that was on when I came in the building was “My Maria” by Brooks & Dunn. One of my favorite things was they had everyone sign a quilt square so Maria could make a quilt with everyone’s… Keep Reading
