Taylor | Senior Pictures
Meet Taylor! She is a Senior at Sky View Highschool. She is in my ward, and I was so excited when her mom contacted me about taking her senior pictures! First we headed up Logan Canyon to get some pictures by the river (which is so insanely high this year from record snow)! It was just starting to green up when we took these, and added just a hint of spring to the canyon! We then headed down to a private orchard in Hyde Park to get pictures with the blossoming apple trees. It was windy and threatening to rain the whole time, but the sun came out at the… Keep Reading
Horse Photographer | Styled Shoot
I had the amazing opportunity this week to set up a styled shoot for 15 amazing photographers in northern Utah. Twice a month we get together and take turns planning and styling a shoot. It’s an opportunity for us to try new lenses, ask each other questions, learn from each other, and have a good time! I decided I would give them a little glimpse of what it’s like to be a horse photographer! Our location was the amazing Smith barn in Lewiston, UT. I styled three different shoots, all including horses, to go on at the same time. We broke into 3 smaller groups, and rotated through the different… Keep Reading
Shyann | Rodeo Senior Pictures
A girl and her horse. There’s not a bond that I love to photograph more. When Shyann contacted me about taking her senior pictures this spring, and wanted to include her horse in them as well, I was so excited! Her horse, Bud, is a big, sweet, sorrel gelding. He had the most curious look the whole time, and almost always had his ear forward. Even when we let him eat his ears were up ready for pictures! Shyann competes in barrel racing with Bud in the Idaho High School Rodeo Association. I love when senior incorporate what they love into pictures, so we of course did some rodeo senior pictures… Keep Reading
Snowy Senior Pictures | Ashlie
This year has been a record year for snow in Cache Valley. With three snow days already this month, who wouldn’t want to remember their snowy senior year with snowy senior pictures? This styled senior shoot, put on by McKenzie Ward, was timed perfectly after a huge snow storm. The snow was up to our knees, but that didn’t stop us from getting some amazing pictures! I think I say this every time I shoot in the snow, but I love snow pictures! The contrast of Ashlie’s dark brown hair and jacket popped against the snow. The snow acts as a giant reflector, creating the prettiest light! Snowy Senior Pictures… Keep Reading
