Logan canyon senior pictures in the fall, it doesn’t get much better than that!! When Makayla first contacted me about doing senior pictures I knew it was going to be an amazing session! She wanted fall colors, so we scheduled her session for the third week of September when the colors up the canyon would be at their best! I had been driving around different canyons looking for just the right spot, but nothing was standing out to me. I found some really pretty places, but for some reason none of them seemed right. Sunday before the shoot one of my photographer friends posted a picture of an area up Logan Canyon. It looked gorgeous with vibrant colors! I was so excited, and let Makayla know that I had found the perfect spot.
The day of pictures, about 2:00pm I saw on the local news that Logan Canyon had been closed because of an officer involved shooting. And not only was Logan Canyon closed, but the shooting had happened up Right Hand Fork Canyon. This was exactly where we were supposed to take pictures just three hours later!! It made for such a crazy story, one that will make her senior picture day unforgettable! We ended up just hopping in my car and driving around Logan Canyon for pretty spots. I usually have a game plan, and have scoped out the area along with the best times for the sun, so this was a lot different for me! It was so much fun, and we ended up finding some amazing spots! We were able to explore a lot and get some awesome shots along the way!
Makayla is a natural in front of the camera. I hardly had to guide her through poses, and it was like she knew what I was going to tell her before I said it! She was a natural! Makayla is graduating from Sky View High school in 2017 and is planning on attending Utah State University after she graduates!
