Colton and Kayla are the cutest couple! They met in an animal science class at Utah State University. There was a seating chart, and they sat next to each other. Kayla liked to watch online cow sales on her computer during class (she grew up showing cows and lambs!). One day Colton asked her if she showed steers since she was watching cow sales all the time. They started talking more and more from there and finally started dating after summer break!
I’ve know Colton and Kayla over the last year, and was so excited when she came to rodeo practice one night and showed me her ring! Colton had purposed to her at a Jazz game earlier that week. We planned engagements and anxiously watched the weather as it changed daily, sometimes even hourly, between rain and sunshine! When the day came it was warm and sunny!
We started at the most unique barn in Cove. I had found the barn about a month before when I went with my husband to pick up hay and knew we had to do pictures there. The light was perfect, and we crawled all over inside and outside the barn and got so many different fun looks! We then brought out their beautiful horses and did some fun shots with them as well.
Our second location was a wide open field with the Bear River running through the middle. We even got to watch a couple guys hunting carp! This was the perfect spot for Colton and Kayla to jump on their horses bareback and play in the shallow water just off the river.
The whole night was so much fun and you can tell from the pictures how in love these two are. They were smiley and laughed all night long.
