Today is the kick-off of the USU horse sale! Come see these gorgeous yearlings, two-year olds and broodmares preview tonight at the USU Equine Center from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. The students have been working hard this year to get these colts ready. I love being able to take pictures of these horses each year! You can see more information about each horse at this link: usu.edu/horsesale.
The auction starts tomorrow (4/20) and closes Wednesday (4/24).
The USU Equine Breeding Program is dedicated to producing top-notch equine prospects while cultivating an educational experience for upcoming equine professionals. Our students learn the importance of cutting edge equine breeding practices including artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and live cover. Students have the opportunity to practice broodmare/stallion management, and are actively involved in the foaling process.
The USU Equine Breeding Program strives to select conformationally correct broodmares and stallions with outstanding performance records. We are proud to offer yearlings and started two-year old prospects with proven genetic talent. All of the proceeds generated from the annual USU Equine Program Sale directly benefit the future USU Equine Breeding Program.
